St. Patricks Day Succulents (Arts & Crafts With Kids!)
Mary Ellen and I have been embracing our Irish heritage the past few days in preparation for St. Patrick’s day! The other day I picked up some of these pots from Michaels Arts and Crafts thinking they’d be perfect for some sweet little succulents! At the time, I imagined myself painting them, but, I don’t think I would have loved it as much as I love this little green masterpiece. Seeing as they were only $0.59 per pot though, (yes, you read that right! $0.59!!), naturally, I grabbed 10. Maybe more… but we don’t really need to get into all the details, now do we? 😉
This kept MEO busy for a solid 30 minutes. I actually think it turned out pretty neat — a little marble-esque, one might say. I seriously adore watching her concentration as she paints!
Bonus mama-moment, we were even able to squeeze in a little lesson on patience as we waited for the paint to dry. While she napped, I took only 5 minutes to pop a little succulent in there and tie on a bow! Ta-da! The cutest little succulent in the cutest little painted pot! A St. Patrick’s Day craft for kids that will look sweet in your home or office all year long!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day, friends!
