Mary Ellen’s Life Plan and Photography
Mary Ellen recently came up with a plan for how she’s going to “make money when she grows up.”
“Okay, let’s here it.” I say.
Mary Ellen replies, “I’m going to take pictures of animals and sell ONE picture for TWO dollars! And I’m going to travel to China and Africa and Asia to take pictures of all the animals there too!”
OKAY THEN! My four year old has her life figured out more than I do.
So, before our trip to Washington, DC, I gave MEO an old camera of mine that I don’t use anymore for her to take some photos with. It’s a point-and-shoot that’s waterproof and shockproof, so it seems fairly safe for a 4 year old. She really enjoyed taking photos throughout the trip and has since taken her camera out on more adventures!
Below are her photos. It’s pretty fun to see our trip from her perspective. The photos of her I took, but only because she asked me to. All of the other photos were taken by her.
I love watching her little creative heart grow and explore! And I think her first little photo collection here is absolutely adorable. My heart is so full looking at these and seeing the trip through her eyes. 💙
